The Pustertal Valley

The Pustertal Valley in Eastern South Tyrol borders on the main north-south motorway from Brenner to the west, and is made up of 26 municipalities with a population totalling 80,000. The E66 route branches off from the A22 motorway at the Brixen exit, and there’s also a railway line that runs through the valley.

With Bruneck as its main urban centre, the Pustertal Valley also has a number of smaller towns such as Antholz, Innichen, Sand in Taufers, Mühlbach and Toblach.

Tourism is vital to the economy, serving as an economic driver for the Pustertal Valley arts and crafts sector, as well as sundry services including catering and general commerce.

Thanks to its location in the Dolomites, the Pustertal Valley region offers high recreational value and an excellent quality of life, with numerous hiking trails and winter ski slopes.
